I use this mat primarily indoors at home. I've used mats from other manufacturers that didn't last very long because of my tendency to take deep divots with my irons. I purchased a smaller version of this mat and found it to be virtually indestructible. So I decided to get the larger size and am delighted that I did. The fact that this mat takes regular tees is a handy feature as well

This mat is much more like hitting off of real grass.  A fat shot that doesn't go as far as it would if hit cleanly. Most mats tend to be much more forgiving in this situation- great for the ego, but not for improving your golf game! This is just like hitting on grass!
