We use it to hit off a tee in the cage. Does not move at all. We also use it for a home plate mat in a bullpen for catchers with metal spikes to protect the underneath turf.

It sits nicely on my concrete floor and doesn't move when striding to swing. It was thicker and heavier than I expected for the cost. I recommend sitting it the sunlight for a bit to soften the edges and take the curl out of the edge before moving into a climate controlled indoor area.
