Not as good as real grass but if the spectrum spans from real grass to the average driving range mat, this mat is 80% to grass. I have hit a thousand shots off the same 4 inch square piece of the mat to test wear and tear, and you can't tell where that patch is by looking. It is thick, and required me to make a platform to stand on.
